Did you get an answer very close to 4.25?  You're brilliant!  Actually, you could probably say the answer is about 4.24.

Checking our steps again ...

1. Line up 246 on the D scale with 58 on the C scale.
2. Move the cursor to C10 and read the answer, about 4.24 from the D scale.
